The Sand for Hovoli 1420 ml is special quartz sand. The Sand for Hovoli 1420 ml has roasted at 1000 °C to sterilized, so it is appropriate for use with food utensils, such as copper and brass coffee pots. The Sand for Hovoli 1420 ml is different from simpe sand because it is suitable to raise a high temperature which is uniformly transferred to the coffee pots. Also, at high temperatures the Sand for Hovoli 1420 ml does not stick on warm coffee pots like the simple sand.
