The Copper Lids that are available at our shop are handmade out of pure copper with certified tin lining without any lead inside the alloy. The Copper Lids are of the most premium lids that you will find in the market. You can cover with them any kitchen utensil you wish that matches the right proportions. They fit perfectly with our series of Copper Hammered Pots that you will find in our shop, as well as any other cookware in the right size.

The Copper Lids are tin lined with certified tin alloy that doesnt include any lead inside, contrary to other lids that you can find in different shops that use lead in their alloy to make the lid shine more, but put the life of customer in danger due to lead being hazardous for the human health. Our copper lids are not only totally safe for your health and appropriate to close your utensils without fear, but they are also elaborate "jewels" for every kitchen that has them.

Care Tips for Copper and Brass Products

  • Wash the copper or the brass items, before the first use, with detergent and warm water. Then, rinse and dry with a soft cotton cloth.
  • In order to bring back the initial polishing use the traditional solution. Damp a cloth in a solution of vinegar and salt or lemon and rub the copper item. Alternatively you can buy a special cleaner for copper and brass items.
  • One more magical way to bring back the initial polishing in copper and brass items is to immerse them for 2-3 seconds in solution that you have already prepared inside a container with citric acid sour salt. Firstly, fill with water a container in which the copper or the brass utensil can fit. Drop a big or small spoon of citric acid sour salt depending on the amount of the water and then immerse the copper or the brass utensil inside the water. Remove it and the polishing is back, no matter how blurry it was or how many black spots the utensil had.

!ATTENTION! The tin lining lasts for many years and can be only destroyed from wrong use. During the cleaning procedure of the pot DO NOT use any metallic wire because it can strip the tin lining. If you want to remove something that is stuck to your pot, we advise to soak the pot with warm water and dish washer liquid for one hour and then clean it with minimally abrasive scrubber. If the tinning is scrubbed off, you can send us the copper pot and we will re-tin and polish it.
