The Sand for Hovoli 400 ml is special quartz sand. The Sand for Hovoli 400 ml has roasted at 1000 °C to sterilized, so it is appropriate for use with food utensils, such as copper and brass coffee pots. The Sand for Hovoli 400 ml is different from simpe sand because it is suitable to raise a high temperature which is uniformly transferred to the coffee pots. Also, at high temperatures the Sand for Hovoli 400 ml does not stick on warm coffee pots like the simple sand.

The Sand for Hovoli 400 ml is the ideal quantity for use of the Greek Coffee Sand Machine - Hovoli No1 Brass and of the Greek Coffee Sand Machine - Hovoli No1 Silver, to prepare slowly and evenly your favorite traditional greek coffee. Fill the bowl with the Sand for Hovoli 400 ml, switch on the Greek Coffee Sand Machine - Hovoli and wait the required time till the hovoli reaches the required temperature. Put the Copper or Brass Coffee pot with small circular movements in the sand, taking care to lean directly on the heating plate and cover the coffee pot with the Sand for Hovoli 400 ml till the middle. With the temperature that has the Sand for Hovoli 400 ml will roast slowly and evenly the Greek coffee in the traditional way to give us the best flavor.
